Belgium's GTI Focal Point is only one of the Belgian official thematic National Focal Points established to promote, facilitate and implement the Convention on Biological Diversity.
It operates, just as the Clearing House Mechanism Focal Point, under the umbrella of the Belgian CBD Focal Point.
Several people contribute on a recurrent basis to the daily operations of the Belgian GTI Focal Point.
Dr Marie-Lucie Susini - Responsible scientist for the more technical aspects of the Belgian GTI (and CHM) training program,especially regarding e-learning. Marie-Lucie has research expertise in taxonomy and systematics of Mediterranean algae.
Ir Han de Koeijer - Belgian Focal Point to the CHM. Han provides punctual web-support to the Belgian GTI National Focal Point.
Mrs Kristien Vrancken - As a skilled graphist, Kristien provides punctual advice and support to the website and public relations products of the Belgian GTI NFP.

Mrs Pascale Balhaut - Pascale is the secretary of the Belgian CBDNFP. She provides administrative and logistic support to the Belgian GTI NFP.
Mr Vincent Pinton - Vincent is the accountmanager of the Belgian CBD NFP. His support is invaluable in ensuring the smooth implementation of the GTI activities.
Dr Anne Franklin - Since mid 2008, DrFranklin is the promoter of the Belgian CBD Focal Point. Anne is also the coordinator of the overall capacity building program funded by the Belgian Development Cooperation. She helps with the implementation of the objectives of the Belgian GTI, including on the international scene.
Dr Jackie Van Goethem - Former Executive head of the CBD NFP. Although retired since mid 2008, Dr Van Goethem continues to providepositive input into the workings of the Belgian GTI NFP. Jackie still holds the position of Executive Secretary to the King Leopold III Fund.
